DISCLAIMER: Although my opinions here are pretty clear, any decision to take ivermectin is completely your responsibility. This article is necessarily very brief. Some articles oppose what you see here, and many articles give support. Study before making a decision. I do not sell ivermectin, but will probably use it if I become ill with Covid.
Here’s the FDA's position:
Sometimes there are scientific disagreements. Sometimes things are unclear. Sometimes treatments are ignored.
And sometimes there are outright lies.
The FDA knows perfectly well that ivermectin has been used safely and effectively by millions of humans all over the world for decades. In 2015 a Nobel Prize was awarded to the scientists who discovered that ivermectin, originally used to treat animal parasites, can be used to treat certain human diseases.
[Ever hear of Coumadin? It’s a drug commonly used to prevent blood clotting in humans. Its generic name is warfarin, and was originally rat poison. Seriously, y’all, you are not a rat, so stop it.]
WHAT ABOUT IVERMECTIN FOR COVID-19?
The FDA warns that using ivermectin for treating covid can be dangerous and even lethal, and that it has not been approved for this purpose.
ANTHING can be dangerous and even lethal if used wrong. Even water. Even the vaccine has killed people at the normal dose. The solution is use things correctly.
Not approved for Covid? Why not? Let’s take a look at a review of studies from the journal, New Microbes and New Infections, from September 2021. I’ll summarize, and you are welcome to read the whole article:
Six of seven meta-analyses of randomized, controlled trials of ivermectin found significant reductions in Covid-19 fatalities, with a median death-reduction of 31% compared to control patients.
As to variants, the article states that since the Ivermectin competes with the binding site of the Covid virus, it is likely non-specific, “possibly yielding full efficacy against emerging viral mutant strains.” The current Delta strain, if so, would not escape ivermectin.
Ivermectin is being successfully used in various countries, such as Peru, Columbia, Japan and India.
COST
The cost of ivermectin in the world is usually about $1.50 for a five-day treatment, although in Israel, since it is basically illegal, people are selling it for at least $5 for each pill (smuggled from India). The government could import ivermectin and treat a million Israelis for about what we pay two leading health officials to deny us its use.
SAFETY
Here is a safety summary for ivermectin use for Covid-19:
- No adverse effects were reported in trials using up to 0.6 mg/kg (30 mg for a 50 kg person, or 48 mg for a person weighing 80 kg) for 5 days. Ivermectin products I have seen are 6 or 12 mg per tablet. Therefore, no one should have a problem taking an effective dose of 2 tablets per day.
- A review of 350 articles by French toxicologist Jacques Descotes concludes:
“Statements that ivermectin can kill patients are misleading, as they do not take into account medical information that has been accumulated over the last decades.”
CONCLUSIONS
As of today, (October 17, 2021), 7,983 Israelis are listed as having died from Covid. Ivermectin is not an approved treatment for Covid in Israel. According to the statistical average in the above study, Ivermectin might have saved 31%, or 2,475 lives! Another meta-analysis of 15 studies found that ivermectin reduced the risk of death by an average of 62% compared with no ivermectin treatment. That means 4,949 could have been saved. This analysis also found that ivermectin is an effective treatment at all stages of the disease.
Great work, doctors. Kudos to you medical officials, in whom we are requested to put our trust. If we are already talking, what exactly is in the contract you signed with Pfizer in our name? How are we supposed to trust you if you lie to us and hide things?
In short, I view ivermectin as a helpful agent, along with vitamin therapy. If the medical establishment would see beyond their fixation with vaccines ONLY and use vitamins, minerals ivermectin and other natural treatments, Covid-19 would not be much of a problem at all.
